Des Arc Public Library

Des Arc, Arkansas

Constructed in 1912 as the First Presbyterian Church of Des Arc, this National Register listed property was acquired by Prairie County in 2011 after the congregation dissolved.  Over the next several years, the exterior of the building was restored, and the interior was renovated, incorporating many of the original materials and finishes.  The project received an Excellence in Preservation through Rehabilitation Award from Preserve Arkansas in 2018.
